We started and continue to operate in the beautiful and historic town of Havre de Grace, Maryland. Glyph was established in 2012 by our Creative Director Don Starr, when he acquired two traditional letterpresses and more than 48 cases of metal type. We have grown quite a bit over the last few years, but we're stuck to the same core values that helped us cater to our customers' needs from day one.
Glyph is Focused on Your Success!
We offer more than 25 years of design experience, right at your disposal. We ensure your success by employing innovative and passionate people and teach them all the same core values and traditions we started together. Here at Glyph, we will continue to provide excellent care for our clients so that they may grow into the best company they are meant to be. Get in touch today, and we will provide you with the same outstanding service we have for years!
Glyph carries on the use of the traditional letterpress process and creates contemporary graphic design solutions with its timeless technique. We also provide educational classes and hands-on workshops that fully open to the public! Together, we will make sure the art form will continue to live on!
Our workshops consist of traditional screen-printing, calligraphy, hand lettering, paper-making, as well as current graphic design software: combining traditional and digital methods of graphic design. Glyph believes that learning doesn’t just take place in the classroom, so we offer paid internship opportunities to local students. The program is offered for any age student and aims to establish a strong relationship between the academic studio and professional work environment.
